At IMI, we have designed these 100% online 15-day courses that introduce education professionals and families to the pedagogical model created by Dr Maria Montessori at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition, it allows parents an approach to the most current research on parenting and focuses their attention on the development of their needs and potential.
These formations allow us to learn about Montessori pedagogy and how to introduce it into the daily activities of the home, contributing to the optimal development of its autonomy.
Montessori at home are a set of four online trainings of 15 days each, on Montessori Pedagogy that allows this pedagogical model to be brought closer to families and to all people interested in this educational method. With a total of 4 formations, independent but related to each other, Montessori at home offers the necessary tools to contribute to the physical, intellectual and moral autonomy of boys and girls for the stage of 3 to 6 years, through activities that reinforce sensory development and cognitive. Between the ages of 3 and 6, children need a space that stimulates their sensory, movement, and cognitive needs and that enhances their growing interest in reading and writing. Furthermore, during this stage of schooling, an adequate articulation between family and school is essential, in which bonds of trust and security are created.
Sharing with them our daily activities will allow them to improve their autonomy and the development of motor, intellectual and social skills.
Going out outside the home are also a source of stimulation and learning. We can take advantage of the world around us to be able to develop their sensory experience, their autonomy and their language.
During this stage, home activities and going out should be aimed at promoting verbal, graphic and artistic expression.
These courses also aim to convey the importance of knowing how to create a suitable and stimulating environment at home that responds to the needs and potential of children.
This course leads us to know how to prepare activities and walks, creating expectations and awakening the interest of the children. In addition to contributing to their sensory and cognitive development, the natural environment becomes a setting for learning and creating family ties. As a result of these activities, activities can be carried out at home through the collected materials and lived experiences.
“For the young child, art is life, and life is art.” Maria Montessori
The Going Out, concepts of time and space. Doing family activities outdoors contributes to learning and knowledge of the world around us. The identification of the elements of the natural and cultural environment enhance observation and improve social relationships, also setting behavior patterns in different environments.
Exit planning becomes an opportunity to experience the first temporal and spatial notions from the closest stimuli. Direct contact with nature and the performance of plastic activities will also stimulate the work of two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality.
