No, but you can do the online course.

Must I have completed a Bachelor’s degree to access the Master’s course?
Yes. We require certification that you have done a Bachelor’s degree. If you complete the Master’s course without having finished the Bachelor’s degree or you don’t have it, the qualification issued will be a university extension diploma.

What are the requirements to access the Master’s course?
It is aimed at all individuals who are interested in promoting a training model in line with the educational demands of modern day society. Those who wish to implement this model in schools as a work center must obviously have a Bachelor’s degree in any area related to the world of education: teachers, management teams or professionals interested in introducing changes into the educational model of their school or their project.

Which teachers will give the training? Are they also Montessori guides?

Can I replace the intensive face-to-face stage with online training? Can I carry out the intensive summer face-to-face stage during another part of the year?
The intensive face-to-face stage cannot be replaced with online training. The intensive summer face-to-face training involves carrying out training in classrooms that are replicas of the prepared environments used by our students every day in a Montessori school. As such, adults can experience the educational process and have more resources for their classroom practicals.
Each stage has its period and schedule established in accordance with the timetables of the team of teachers who work as guides in this Master’s course since they come from different parts of the world and are recognized nationally and internationally due to their educational and training experience.

Can I carry out the two face-to-face intensive training stages simultaneously? (0 to 6 and 6 to 12). If not, is any part recognized?

Is it necessary to begin with any stage in particular and follow an order?
No. It is not necessary. You may begin with online training during the school year and continue with the summer face-to-face training or you can also begin with the intensive summer face-to-face stage, continue with the online training from the next school year and go on with the second intensive face-to-face training the following summer.

If I study the Master’s with you will you assure me of a work position? Do I have opportunities?
We know that Montessori training opens up a wide range of professional opportunities, but for now, and given the current situation, we cannot guarantee any jobs. Although it must be borne in mind that it is a necessary and indispensable requirement to be a Montessori guide in order to work at a Montessori school.

Where will the intensive training take place?
The next intensive summer further training will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays from June to July 2016 in Campus Mundet, University of Barcelona.

What is an ECTS?
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credit is the unit that accounts for all of the activities carried out by the student within the training process:
. theoretical and practical class hours
· study hours
· seminars, work, internship and projects
· preparing for and taking exams or other assessment tests
Each ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of work by the student.

What difference is there between an own Master’s and an Official Master’s degree?
University Master’s courses are official advanced training degrees that are specialized or multidisciplinary, oriented towards professional practice or beginning research. Research orientation allows students to access a Ph.D.
Own Master’s degrees are essentially professional training courses and are not oriented towards beginning research. Despite having a similar duration to official Master’s courses, the credits obtained do not count towards gaining access to a Ph.D.

Yes, it is necessary to carry out an internship of 90 hours of observation practice in a Montessori School.

In what language is the Master’s degree taught?
The official language is Spanish. However, classes are given in many other languages. The teaching language is specified in each Master’s course and in each teaching plan.

What documents are required for enrolment?
Enrolment of own Master’s and postgraduate studies is carried out in the secretariat of the center that manages each course. The enrolment form must be completed and the corresponding documentation must be attached. You can consult the management center and the pre-enrollment and enrolment information on the profile of each course.
